So you subscribed to a one-year gym membership. You’re given the liberty to go to the gym, use any equipment you fancy, for one whole year. That’s 24 hours, 7 days a week, 12 months a year.

You’re probably so motivated to plow through your workout program. Then, you started to think that “well, I will just skip Wednesday’s workout because I am tired.” Then, you started to ditch the Friday workout as well because you and your buddies are going to hang out and party.

Then, in the coming weeks, you skipped a total of 5 days of workouts because you’ve been busy doing other things. And the next thing you’ll know, you’ve skipped workouts for weeks.

This is actually a very common occurrence for people. It’s as if people just have some things going on that need their attention. Although for some people it is true, some people just make up excuses to not work out at all.

Since you’ve probably skipped gym workouts for a couple of weeks, what happens to your muscles? What happens to all of your gains?

In this article, I will talk about the things that happen when you’re not working out for days, weeks, and even months.

So, what really happens when you’ve not worked out for a couple of days, weeks, or months? Well, the general rule here is that the fitter and muscular you are, it will take a longer time to turn those gains into fat.

For example, if you’ve been a fitness buff or a gym dude for a couple of years, it would take nearly as much time for your body to start becoming fat again. Of course, that is considering if you still eat healthy foods during your time off the gym.

But, what does happen is that even though your muscles will not be turned into fat after a few weeks of not working out, your cardiovascular ability will be severely reduced.

According to James Ting, M.D, he said that 14 days without workouts will severely decrease your cardiovascular prowess. This means that you will get tired more often and when you do decide to go back to the gym and workout again, you will need to regain your cardio back.

Now in terms of endurance and strength, your body will react differently depending on your daily activities.

What I mean by this is that your endurance might still be there but your strength will probably decline over time. You see, our muscles are made of fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscles.

Slow-twitch muscles are responsible for endurance and fast-twitch muscles are responsible for lifting heavy loads.

If you’re a somewhat active person like you’re walking or running in your spare time, your endurance will probably still be there. But, if you’re not lifting weights for a couple of days or weeks, your strength will surely decline as your fast-twitch muscles haven’t been challenged for a certain period.

So, to summarize what I’ve said in this article, if you’re generally lean and muscular before you start missing workouts, your body will require time before it turns into fat.

With regards to your muscles, your endurance will not decline as much but your strength will decline dramatically if you’re not lifting weights.

Sony has created a lot of flagship mobile phones in the past years but since some of the mobile phone companies are slowly releasing new and exciting budget-friendly and mid-range phones, Sony has to come with something, otherwise, they won’t have a big market share in the coming year.

To present something to the public, Sony released the Sony Xperia M2. This is a budget-friendly mobile phone that should cater for the vast majority of mobile phone users.

This mobile phone sports an all-plastic design, but it is no ordinary plastic; it is made out of polycarbonate plastic that is quite durable. In fact, it has been used extensively in other mobile phones.

It does have a shiny plastic back cover, which as you may very well know, can attract a lot of fingerprints. But, do not worry, those fingerprints can be erased with a single swipe of a microfiber cloth.

At the right of the mobile phone lies the microSIM and microSD slots and the dedicated camera button and the volume rockers are located just at the bottom of that. At the top of the phone lies the 3.5mm headphone jack and at the bottom, you will see the microUSB charging and data ports.

Although Sony has been regarded as one of the best mobile phones in terms of durability and the fact that most of their mobile phones are water and dustproof, the Sony Xperia M2 doesn’t have those features. It isn’t water and dustproof which is a far cry to what Sony have done with their other mobile phone offerings.

The display of the Sony Xperia M2 is a plain and simple screen. It comes with a 4.8-inch TFT display with a resolution of only 540×960 and a pixel count of 229ppi. This isn’t something to be happy about but since this is a budget-friendly phone, there has to be something amiss.

The RAM is also something to worry about, especially if you’re a power user. This mobile phone only comes with 1GB of RAM. Sure, you can operate the phone with only a few apps running, but that is not the case as most mobile phones nowadays come with at least 2GB of RAM. I know it is disappointing but I guess it is to be expected with an inexpensive phone.

As with the battery, the Sony Xperia M2 comes with a 2,300 MaH. Since this phone only comes with a 540 x960 resolution, the battery capacity should last you more than 24 hours. Couple that with the Snapdragon 400 and the Adreno 305 GPU, you should be golden.

And lastly, the camera. The Sony Xperia M2 comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an LED Flash. The camera is pretty respectable and knowing that Sony has created proprietary camera technologies, it is one of the better kinds of camera you can find on a budget phone.

The Sony Xperia M2, albeit catered for the general populace, leaves a lot of things much to be desired. Still, I know that Sony will come up with a budget phone with better specs than this one. If you’re looking for a mobile phone, the Sony Xperia M2 might be a good choice for you.

If you own an Android Mobile Phone, chances are you’ve already heard of the term “Rooting”. Rooting is a term that has been passed around the Android forums and ecosystem because people have actually “hacked” the Android operating system.

You see, by default, you do not have access to the deepest settings of the Android operating system. You’re basically limited in what you can do, at least by default.

What is rooting? Basically, it is similar to what Jailbreaking is for the iOS. It gives you full access to your phone’s settings allowing you to customize every bit of the operating system.

Rooting is done by exploiting a code in the operating system to allow users to have complete control. Usually, this exploit requires a program called SU or Switch User. SU should be installed if you want to root your Android device.

After you’ve rooted your Android mobile device, you can basically do a lot more things than what you are accustomed to.

Today, I am going to teach you how to root an Android mobile phone such as the Nexus 5.

The Nexus 5 has a ton of functionality by default, but by rooting the said device, you can potentially achieve many different things.

So, before you start going out and rooting your phone, there are some things you need to know first.

The first thing you need to know is that by rooting your Android phone, you’ve basically just devoid the Warranty of your mobile phone. This is because mobile phone manufacturers are not happy with people rooting their Android mobile phones. So, if you really want to root your device, make sure that you know this important rule.

Second, Rooting your Android Mobile phone can be dangerous as one misstep could render your mobile phone inoperable.

With that being said, here are the things that you need in order to root your Nexus 5 or other Nexus mobile phones:

  1. First, completely charge your mobile phone. This is to ensure that there will be more than enough battery for the entire operation to succeed.
  2. Next, download the SU application in their official website.
  3. After that, download a rooting program such as the NexusToolKit. Rooting programs such as these will help streamline the process of rooting for you.
  4. Move the SU application that you downloaded earlier into the respective folder in the directory of the NexusToolKit.
  5. Fire up the NexusToolKit and click the option to root your Nexus mobile phone.
  6. Just follow the onscreen instructions and your Nexus Mobile phone should be rooted up and running!

After you’ve followed all of the above steps, your Android mobile phone should be rooted and ready to go.

Remember, rooting your Android mobile phone will unlock a lot of things, but it does come with a price of voiding your warranty.

Should you root or not is entirely dependent on what your needs are. If you like customizing and taking full control of your Android phone, then root away. If the warranty is more important to you, then restrain from rooting.

There you have it; I hope you guys are educated about rooting your Android mobile device.

There is a ton of diets out there, all promising the same thing: help you lose weight. Today, we’re going to take a look at a rather peculiar diet. It is a peculiar diet mainly because it is one of the only diets that require you to eat only 5 days a week, and fast for 2 days, rinse and repeat.

The diet I am referring to is the 5:2 diet. This is one of the Intermittent Diet plans that, as I’ve mentioned before, allows you to eat for 5 days straight, while the remaining 2 days of the week will be mostly about fasting.

Now, don’t get the wrong idea. The fasting that this diet plan means is that you only eat a limited amount of calories on the 2 days. And for the 5 days of eating, you do not binge-eat to your heart’s content. The idea here is to eat somewhat of a generous amount of calories during the 5-day stretch, and a controlled portion of meals during the 2 days.

The 5:2 diet has been touted as a very successful diet because people have been losing quite a lot of weight following this diet plan. Studies have also shown that it decreases the likelihood of degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

If you want to try this diet, you must learn a few important things:

  1. The two-day fasting- The 2-day fasting phase will entail you to eat only 500 calories for women and 600 calories for men per day for 2 straight days. This is akin to the hCG diet, only without needles.
  2. The 5-day eating- The 5-day eating is considered to be the “normal” eating days where there is little regard for calories. Although, since this is still considered a diet, be sure you do not get past 2,200 calories per day.
  3. Exercise Modules- There is a 5:2 diet community that you can find on the internet and they will help you with your journey when you follow the 5:2 diet plan. There are exercise modules that are laid out for you. For example, the Sedentary exercise module is for people who cannot incorporate exercise into their lives. These are people who are either so busy, or cannot do exercises because of physical disabilities. There are 5 exercise modules namely: Sedentary, Lightly Active, Moderately Active, Very Active and Extremely Active. Choose whichever exercise module you want.
  4. Eat healthy foods, minimize processed ones- This should be a no-brainer when it comes to dieting. Although, the 5-day eating allows you to eat as much as 2,200 calories per day, make sure that those calories are from healthy sources. You can eat some ice cream if you want, but be sure to limit it. Also, if possible, avoid any chips or highly salted foods.

With all of this being said, is the 5:2 diet for you? This is one of the easiest diets to follow because of a moderately loose restriction when it comes to eating. Although, be prepared to eat only a few calories for 2 days. But aside from that, this diet should be easy enough for people to do.

Nintendo is a very successful gaming company. Its success stems from the games they’ve created. Some are mediocre, but many are memorable. One particular game of note is the Pokemon series.

If you’re familiar with the tv show, Pokemon, this cartoon shows you that there are a lot of monsters out there that you can collect. The Nintendo Game is exactly like that. You, as a Pokemon Trainer, should go out in the vast world to collect as many Pokemons as you can.

The Game Boy version of the popular tv show has two variants: Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. These are just their titles, but there are certain differences between the two.

The Pokemon Red version has a variety of Pokemons that are not present in the Blue version. Such Pokemons are Ekans, Arbok, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Mankey, Primeape, Growlithe, Arcanine, Scyther, Electabuzz.

If you don’t want these Pokemons, you can always choose to buy the blue version. The Pokemons that you can catch that are exclusive to the blue version are Sandshrew, Sandslash, Meowth, Persian, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Vulpix, Ninetales, Pinsir, Magmar.

Pokemon Red came in first, while Pokemon Blue was originally a special version of Pokemon Red. Thus, there was a slight variation in the Pokemons you can catch.

The Nintendo Pokemon Red and Blue is a third-person, turn-based RPG game. Basically, you need to venture the vast world in order to defeat different Pokemon Trainers and you can also gain some of their Pokemon as well.

So, what about the gameplay? As mentioned before, the game is a turn-based RPG, wherein you battle different trainers or Pokemons. You will then have a choice on the Pokemon you want to battle against the opponent.

When a battle commences, you have certain options to choose from. You can choose from up to 4 different attacks. The attacks vary depending on which Pokemon you choose. You can also select a variety of options such as Item, Switch Pokemon, or Flee the battlefield. To win against the opponent, you have to damage the enemy’s Pokemon until its HP drops to 0.

Now, what makes Pokemon Red and Blue, one of the most popular games in Nintendo History? Apart from the vastness of the game, and the diversity of Pokemon you can catch, you can also link two Game Boys together and trade Pokemons with your buddies!

That’s right, you can trade any Pokemon you want to a friend. You can do this by linking two Gameboys together via a Game Link Cable. gameboyYou just have to remember though, that you cannot trade Pokemon if you have a different version of the game (If you have the Japanese version, you cannot trade with someone who has the North American version. Because, if you do so, your game saves will get corrupted because the files are from different versions).

Pokemon Red and Blue are one of the most popular Nintendo games ever because you can play with your buddies, and you can play the game for hours on end, collecting and levelling up different Pokemons.

So, if you want to have a truly enjoyable retro game, try Pokemon Red or Pokemon Blue.

Benefits of Losing Weight

Obesity is a huge problem plaguing thousands if not millions of people throughout the globe. The state of being overweight affects these people’s health as well as lifestyle tremendously. This is the main reason why it has become ideal to maintain proper weight, and more and more people are working very hard in order to achieve a body that is both fit and healthy.

It is always better to keep your weight at an ideal scale in order to live a healthier much happier lifestyle.

Here are some of the great benefits people can enjoy while losing weight:
Increased stamina

For people who are overweight, it is very difficult to sustain a certain level of physical activity for a prolonged amount of time. For instance, just climbing up a flight of stairs can prove to be extremely difficult. Aside from this, people who are overweight also cannot even walk straight enough at a certain distance till their body no longer has enough energy. This isn’t a very good state to be in because if placed in a real life-or-death situation, an overweight person may not have the stamina he needs in order to save himself.

If you lose weight, then you will be able to increase your stamina and last longer when climbing up the stairs, walking long distances, or just doing housework in or around your house. With increased stamina, no longer should you feel embarrassed about lacking the energy you need to do your own work.
Increased strength

Losing weight will also enable your muscles to work more efficiently. When a person is fat or overweight, his muscles exert great effort just to be able to lift his/her body weight. This means, he or she no longer have some extra strength left in order to be able to do other work. Since his/her strength is already devoted to keeping his or her body just standing straight up, then he/she no longer has any more energy left to lift, for instance, groceries from a certain point to another.

Thanks to a good weight loss program though, your muscles can now be able to function more efficiently apart from carrying your own body weight.
Better flexibility

When a person is fat, then there is a great chance that he also has a big bulging tummy or belly. This in turn, greatly affects a person’s flexibility, and just the simple movement of bending over will be too much of a task for people who have huge bellies. If a fat person drops his keys, or anything for that matter, he will have a tremendously hard time just retrieving it. Sometimes even, it is so embarrassing that he still has to ask help from others just to be able to have his keys back.

On the other hand, if you lose weight, your flexibility also greatly increases. Bending over to pick something up will never again become problem. Aside from this, you will also become more confident in doing lots of different other things requiring great flexibility.
It is definitely ideal for fat, obese, or overweight people to adapt a good weight loss program (and to consult an expert while at it) in order to get tremendous results as you strive to lose weight in an efficient yet 100 percent safe manner. Signing up at a gym and using the right fat burner supplements are just some of the easiest, most effective ways to help you do this.

Nintendo has infiltrated the video gaming industry for more than two decades now and has continually evolved to cope with the changing times. Even before the computer gaming era, Nintendo, a Japanese electronics company founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi, had dedicated itself to creating entertainment devices that became a part of every child’s life from one generation to the next. The Nintendo handheld console is one of the company’s most valued creations as it has not lost popularity since the launch of the first model in 1989.

Fast forward to 2014. Nintendo had launched a series of handheld consoles such as the Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS lite and Nintendo DSi. From the original Nintendo DS (short for dual-screen or Developer System), the handheld consoles had gone through several revisions to respond to the demands of consumers r4 3ds xl.

Nintendo DS, launched in November 2004, gained popularity for its innovative two-LCD screen feature with one screen serving as the touchscreen. It offered wireless connectivity support and a built-in microphone. The DS was compared to the Game Boy Advance SP because of its clamshell-like look. Another remarkable feature of the Nintendo DS was that it allows users to interact directly with each other through a short-range Wi-Fi connection without a wireless network. Users, however, also have an option to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection service for online interaction. It is compatible with Nintendo’s previous handheld systems such as the Game Boy Advance (GBA), with two cartridge slots, one for the DS game cards, and the other for GBA cards.

One major competitor of the Nintendo DS is Sony’s Play Station Portable, more commonly known as the PSP. To raise the bar, Nintendo redesigned the DS into a slimmer, lighter and more colorful version. The Nintendo DS lite was out in the market in 2006. Its Lithium ion battery delivers a longer battery life of up to 15 to 19 hours of game play on a three-hour charge. Although more aesthetically appealling than the original DS, users complained of the DS Lite’s lack of video quality and processing power considering the media features that come with it. Such weakness is compensated by its capability to connect up to 32 players at a time, allowing friends and family members to interact online.

For the third time, Nintendo revised its handheld console to the new Nintendo DSi, which was released in 2009 worldwide. In appearance, the DSi is thinner than the DS Lite when closed but is relatively wider and lighter, giving it a more sleeky look. As an improvement from the previous models, the DSi has a larger screen, and is capable of displaying more colors. It also delivers a new gaming experience with its slightly textured and rubbery coating for a more comfortable feel. One of its revolutionary features is the removal of the cartridge slot for the Game Boy Advance (GBA), cutting off users from the old GBA games. For some, this is an advantage, but for Nintendo fanatics, it is a setback. To complete its technological enhancement, the DSi also introduced the “DsiWare,” a set of games and applications that users can download from the DSi shop. Although advantages for DSi users, people who still own the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS lite cannot access this particular site.
